2010 GAMES PARKING/ACCESS INFORMATION

Effective January 1st, 2010 - March 15th, 2010 there will be no daily parking available at Canada Place. Parking is available at 200 Granville Street and the Waterfront Centre Parking Lot. Effective the end of January all taxis and drop offs will be on West Cordova Street between Howe and Burrard Street. Please note that there is unrestricted access to the Five Sails Restaurant via the Pan Pacific Hotel entrance.

Orientation

Dramatically situated on the Downtown Vancouver waterfront at Canada Place pier, the Five Sails Restaurant is strategically located above the Vancouver Convention & Exhibition Centre and Cruise Ship Terminal on the “R” level at the Pan Pacific Hotel Vancouver. Canada Place is centrally located to transportation links and is steps from the Waterfront Sky Train Station and a short walk to the Downtown Financial centre and hotels and to major bus links at the foot of Granville and Cordova Street.

Location Features

The Five Sails Restaurant showcases stunning views of Vancouver’s Coastal Mountains, beautiful Stanley Park and inner harbour. Overlooking the dynamic waterfront and Cruise ship terminal, guests will enjoy a fascinating bird’s eye view of activity on the ocean front and from the skies from the rhythm of Vancouver’s rowing club athletes practicing their strokes, to float planes landing and charter yachts touring to the romantic departure nightly of the cruise ships heading north under the Lions Gate bridge.

From Central Downtown Hotels on Foot:

• Proceed North on Burrard Street towards the Coastal Mountains
• Turn right at the North end of Burrard Street and the Pan Pacific
  Vancouver hotel entrance is located on your left at Canada Place Pier
• Proceed through the Hotel entrance doors to the Guest Elevators
• Press “R” for the Five Sails on the Restaurant Level of the Hotel

From the North Shore:

• Proceed out of Stanley Park along West Georgia to Pender Street.
• Turn left on Pender and proceed to Burrard Street
• Turn left on Burrard Street for 2 blocks
• Turn right on Cordova Street for 1 block
• Turn left on Howe Street & drive directly to the Canada Place parking or Hotel front entrance
• From Vancouver – West Side: Via Burrard Bridge
• Proceed North on Burrard Street over the Burrard Bridge
• Continue on Burrard to the North foot of Burrard and turn right on Cordova Street
• Turn left at the next block on Howe Street and drive directly to the Canada Place parking lot or Hotel front entrance

From Vancouver – West Side: Via Burrard Bridge

• Proceed North on Burrard Street over the Burrard Bridge
• Continue on Burrard to the North foot of Burrard and turn right on Cordova Street
• Turn left at the next block on Howe Street and drive directly to the Canada Place parking lot or Hotel front entrance
  

From Vancouver – East Side: Via Cordova Street

• Proceed West on Powell Street through Gastown
• Turn right on Cordova Street to Howe Street
• Turn right on Howe Street and drive directly to the Canada Place parking lot or Hotel front entrance
